By Geoff Doug Sandrini - Welcome to My Day

Sydney based artist Doug Sandrini has released his latest CD titled Welcome to My Day. Already having received a healthy bill of air play on local radio stations and plugged on Radio Acustica hosted by Amanda Easton during 2004, the album is well on the way to planting its roots as a well received album.

This CD is without a doubt one of the finest independent releases I have heard this year. The combination of a well produced mixture of Doug's mesmerizing vocals, acoustic guitar and backing with the occasional female backing by local talents Tina Bowra and Susie Goodwin, makes for a very intimate and inspiring CD from start to finish.

Each song on this CD carries on well from one song to the other leaving no room for inconsistency of tempo or mood which I find makes it very easy listening set of songs.

My preferred song for this album is the 3rd song Easy Street which is a slower song that reminds me of the reality life can dish out. No matter how hard you work, life doesn't always get easier, no matter how much you want it to.

Welcome to My Day is a mix of very realistic songs which come across with a truly intimate feel about them, I love it.
