
The Push’s signature all ages live music festival Push Over returns to The Abbotsford Convent on Sunday 7 March, 2010. Push Over will feature over 30 Australian indie, rock, hardcore, pop, dance and hip hop acts across four stages, and some of the best current crop or upcoming “next big things” on the scene! Now in its 18th year, Push Over provides one of the hottest and freshest summer line ups on offer - as voted by young people from around the state!
Live acts include: 50 Lions, Break Even, Built on Secrets, Carpathian, City Escape, Coby Grant, Dash & Will, Heroes for Hire, Horrorshow, I Explode Like, In Trenches, Kisschasy, Lovers Grave, Regular John, The Mission In Motion, The Sundance Kids, Urthboy, Wherewolves, Yacht Club DJs, Young Heretics and Yves Klein Blue!
Nine upcoming bands from around the state, including, 8 Bit Love, Arrowfield, Ayera, Barking Sparrows, Masketta Fall, Sheer Abandon, The Cactus Channel, The Houses and Vixia, will be fighting it out to be crowned FReeZA Push Start Grand Final Winner for 2010!
The Push Underground Showcase on the Push It! hip hop stage presented by Oz Hip Hop, and hosted by Yung Philly, will feature 15 minute tasters from Anon Speak, B Wiv Deece, Bidla and The Creep Team, as well as MC, DJ and three on three breakin' battles! Prizes include cash, Oz Hip Hop advertising and clothing/merchandise from This Is It.
Finally, triple j Unearthed will be running a competition in January 13 - February 7, awarding one lucky band a spot at the festival. Stay tuned to the website for more info!
