Australian Idol 2009 came to a sensational conclusion last night with fireworks and performances from the year's top 12 guys and girls.
Grand finalists Haley Warner and Stan Walker both impressed this music reporter this year and I am happy to see such a gifted singer like Stan win the season. Rocker chick Haley gracefully left the stage to Stan who performed his new single.
Walker, 18, said he was "blessed" to win.
Time will tell if the spectacular outdoor concert at the Sydney Opera House last night will be enough to increase ratings for the show which have dropped over the years. |
