1)How long have you been performing and whereabouts in Australia are you from?

I did my first pub show at The Lansdowne Hotel in Sydney at the tender age of 17. I live in Melbourne now. What a great city!

2)When you were a drummer you supported Baby Animals, what was that like?

That was fab, although a long time ago now. They rocked. Suze rocked! And for that show I could afford to pay someone to carry and set up my drumkit. Wooo hoo, rock and roll!! I have just done supports with Eric Burdon (from the 60's band, The Animals). That was a blast. His guitarist is such a spunk, pity I didn't get a pash!

3)You host the comic box on Channel 31 too. Are you a bit of a comedian as well?

No. I am not funny. The show is great though, it's such a blast and I have a fantastic support team.

4) What would be your 3 major musical influences?

Ainsley Dunbar, Suzanne Vega, Ani Di Franco. Can I have more than three?
Dido, Jeff Lang, Nick Barker, Parliament, Sheryl Crow, Martin Gerschwitz.

5) What is one thing you'd like to change about the music industry?

More venues, more punters, more money, less ego, less whinging yuppies complaining about the 'noise', more smiles.. Ooops, that's five.

6)Where do you see yourself in 5 yrs time?

Probably fitting shoes for fat, sweaty, middle-aged women.

7)What do you think makes a band/solo artist stand out from all the others?

The songs might all be great, but the act that stands out is the one that ENTERTAINS.

8)What CD releases have you had out? Any in the pipe-line?

Got a 5-track EP called Chunky. There's 3 tracks with cello played by a wonderful woman called Emily Petch. You can get it at my gigs. Or email me and I'll do you a deal. More material coming soon soon soon!

9) (Non music-related question) Buffy or Secret Life of Us?

Secret Life. I've never even watched Buffy. But The Bill comes out on top of all of them!

 10) Final thoughts........(On your band, where you're headed, words of wisdom, etc....)

Life's supposed to be fun. Don't work too hard or you'll get an ulcer and die. Learn to relax more. Seek and listen to advice and criticism. Take your toothbrush with you for you never know where you may end up. Be kind to everyone and remember you are not as cool as you think. Wash.

11) Website/email details.

Rachel's additional questions!

12) Do you scrunch or fold your toilet paper?

I'm a scruncher. You get more grip by scrunching. I met a 'roller' the other day. How odd.

get my car washed in the car park by 12 year-olds while I do my grocery shopping. And I would throw out the stems of broccoli rather than eating them.
